job description
as a repair technician on our fcal service team you will be working in fluke’s service pressure repair cell and will perform repairs on customer pressure calibration instruments, support the calibration laboratory, and ensure the operation of pressure measurement and test equipment (m&te) through preventive and corrective maintenance services. you will work with other teams to achieve objectives. you will follow and support the iso 17025 quality standard.
general duties & responsibilities:
repair customer pressure calibration instruments returned for service and laboratory calibration standards.
maintain both pressure calibration standards per published preventive maintenance schedules.
provide solutions to problems in situations that are atypical or infrequently occurring based on existing precedents or procedures.
communicate service issues and delays with supervisors and peers including the customer call center and technical support.
expected to work with a limited degree of supervision within defined processes and procedures.
must be willing to work overtime and weekends to meet customer demand.
experience/personal qualifications:
minimum of 2-5 years’ work experience in small electronics repair, familiarity with pressure systems preferred.
high school diploma or equivalent. (secondary schooling, military pmel or tmde training preferred).
ability to use intermediate math to solve problems and analyze data.
capable of interpreting documents and standard work instructions.
good organizational and communication skills.
must have a solid understanding of electrical technology and terminology.
intermediate computer skills with proficiency in ms office programs.
experience with iso 17025 preferred.
experience working in a lean manufacturing environment preferred.
