we are looking for a polite and professional customer service advisor / rental assistant to join our supportive, friendly and positive team in barnsley.

what will you be doing as customer service advisor / rental assistant?

as customer service advisor you will be dealing with enquiries from private customers and local business clients, both face-to-face and on the phone. you will be involved with the whole vehicle rental process from beginning to end, including liaising with other departments and branches for the effective management of the fleet.

your responsibilities will include:

dealing with queries and providing advice & assistance in relation vehicle rentals. booking vehicles in and out, managing procedures for vehicle insurance and conducting the necessary driver checks. other general administrative tasks as required to support the rental manager. providing support to other depots as required to assist the wider team.

we are looking for a polite, professional customer-focussed individual, comfortable in dealing with businesses and the general public both on the phone and face to face.

as customer service advisor you should:

understand the importance of excellent customer service and demonstrate this in you past roles. have excellent numeracy and it skills.

be able to work coolly and efficiently under pressure. be comfortable with multiple tasks and changing priorities.

you must have a full driving licence

some familiarity with car and van specifications is desirable, although full training will be given.
