Live-in domestic couple - united kingdom, chipping norton, oxfordshire
our clients, a busy professional couple with a child at prep-school, are looking for a hardworking, self-motivated, caring, fun, and experienced domestic couple to look after a beautiful home close to chipping norton in oxfordshire. the couple will be expected to share the duties between them, 75% housekeeper and 25% nanny (often sole-charge). the successful couple will be hands-on, proactive, and hardworking, whilst creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. overnight care, child sitting and travelling with the family is required.
duties outlined but not limited to:
dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures
deep cleaning, and general hands-on housekeeping
laundry management including fine fabrics and ironing
dog minding, feeding, and walking as and when required
monitoring cleaning supplies and ordering more as needed
reporting any necessary repairs or replacements
managing the morning routine, preparing breakfast, and helping the child get ready for school
school pick up and taking child to after-school activities as necessary
arranging and undertaking appropriate creative, educational, and outdoor activities so she is entertained, happy, and stimulated
cooking healthy, fresh and organic food for her daily
wardrobe organisation and management
organisation of after-school activities and playdates
running errands
babysitting in the evening and potentially at the weekend when required by prior arrangement
travel with the family when required
ad-hoc pa duties as required
excellent spoken and written english language skills preferred, able to communicate with others, and be able to help with homework.
the ideal couple for this position must have prior experience working in a similar role. must have proven experience in a domestic couple role for a large residence, and must genuinely love horses and dogs.
must also have a clean driving licence and an up-to-date dbs.
accommodation: beautiful cottage on the estate.
salary: £70,000-£75,000 gross per annum
