treasury (risk & disbursement) analyst job require candidates to:

  • responsible for the corporate risk insurance administration and disbursements. the risk & disbursement analyst will report to the risk & disbursement manager.
  • knowledge of payment processing & risk insurance
  • responsible for gathering information for the annual renewals of all company-wide insurance programs and assisting with the applications.
  • responsibilities for these jobs include but are not limited to:

  • insurance renewals application an administration and reporting.
  • working with business departments to compile, apply, provide certificates of insurance, and surety bonds
  • processing disbursements and bank related notices for resolution.
  • providing variance analysis, reconciliation, budget information and preparing journal entries and payment requests.
  • escheatment and department contingency plans.
  • risk insurance

  • update and develop schedules of insurance and premium comparisons for management.
  • responsible for supporting business units in facilitating the production of accurate certificates of insurance
  • responsible for supporting business units in obtaining surety bonds
  • prepare and submit requisitions to support risk insurance programs and develop and maintain schedules for the budget which includes variance reconciliations.
  • prepare annual comparisons of retention changes and premium changes and provide report to management on all renewal changes and board meetings.
  • responsible for reconciling prepaid insurance analysis to ensure that collections and payments of premiums are up to date
  • prepare journal entries for all risk insurance programs and update the budget forecast and identify and explain variances.
  • disbursements:

  • responsible for processing. uploading and approval all payment files(ex. weekly a/p, site, certify, honoraria, and others)  to third party financial institutions ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payment processing.
  • responsible for site payment vendor approvals and requests received from third parties ensuring compliance.
  • responsible for bank related support of payments which include positive pay payee, compliance requests for information, supporting subsidiary transactions, working with accounts payable & supplier management to notify on noc’s/payment returns and investigations.
  • ensure that regulatory requirements(compliance) and controls are being followed.
  • assist honoraria dept with inquiries.
  • prepare and process escheatment for all disbursements reporting to all states within compliance.
  • assist with the travel reimbursement compliance and controls and payment processing.
  • develop travel spend and metric analytics on errors/exceptions and processed expensed reports.
  • treasury department related responsibilities:

  • assist manager with the treasury department disaster & contingency plans.
  • assist manager and back up other department staff on processes and responsibilities.
  • participate in project implementations supporting the treasury organization.
  • prepare monthly treasury department metric reports for management.
  • suggests areas for improvement to internal processes including ensuring there are quality controls and use of technology for automating processes.
  • candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for this job:

    education, certifications, or special licenses:

  • bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration.
  • relevant years of experience required:

  • minimum 1-3 yrs. preferably in a large, complex/diverse corporate environment
  • 1+ years minimum experience in treasury /financial /risk insurance background
  • required skills

  • experience with handling multiple tasks at a time.
  • must be detail oriented.
  • ability to work independently and organize workload with minimal direct supervision.
  • excellent oral and written communication skills, along with the ability to communicate and negotiate with a variety of internal and external constituencies.
  • strong planning, organizational, decision-making, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • experience with ms office products, proficient in excel using and formulating macros and data bases, people soft a plus.
  • must be a self-starter who works well with moderate guidance and continually seeks new opportunity for positive change.
  • mandatory to work company holidays or company closings that are not banking holidays as required.
  • the starting pay rate for this job is 25$-37.50$ per hr. based on experience. remote/hybrid model-2 days onsite.
