we have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic cctv operator to join our dynamic team on a permanent basis. this role is perfect for anyone who is experienced and enjoys working within a control room environment.

the role of a cctv operator is interesting and varied, you are responsible for protecting our customers property, people and/or assets by providing security services to a specific site in direct accordance with the customers assignment instructions. working with one of the most high-profile and respected brands in the uk is very rewarding and this role is interesting and stimulating .

you will be working as part of a team in a busy growing control room, you will be monitoring cctv, answering telephones and intercoms, dealing with access control, completing incident reports, sending and receiving emails as well as interacting with the customer on a day to day basis.

the role of cctv operator will consist of many responsibilities such as monitoring and managing of appearance, behaviours of all security personnel, make sure all incidents are reported in compliance with customer and company policy and procedures.

you will also assist the security management team in developing and sharing of "best practice" and the use of systems and tools to improve service effectiveness.

there are also opportunities to help with technology enhancement by conducting operational tests and that users are fully compliant

on a daily basis, you will be monitoring faults with security-related equipment, ensuring they are reported correctly and being fully conversant with operational functions including access control, cctv, detection and alarm systems, ensuring effective monitoring and reporting function are maintained.

your shift pattern will be 4 on 4 off - 07:00 - 19:00 & 19:00 - 07:00

essential skillssia licenceexcellent communication skills and a strong customer focusable to work independently as well as part of a teampunctual and reliableflexiblecctv licence able to stay calm in all situations computer literate in the use of but not limited to microsoft word and excelfast learner useful to know

successful applicants will be screened to the industry standard bs7858. you will be required to provide documents as evidence of your right to work in the uk, postal proof of address (dated within the last 3 months) and an additional id document. as part of the screening process, we will also require a five-year checkable employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment.
