dear future au pair, we are a nice professional family in north london (uk) and we are searching for a female live in au-pair over 20 years of age for our two lovely daughters. ideally this position will go to a kind, positive and loving person who really likes looking after children and is willing to join our family for at least 1 year (and maybe longer for the right person). there will be plenty of free time in evenings, weekends etc and we will provide a proper eu au pair placement contract. this au pair position is available to start in september 2022 but there could be some flexibility to start earlier.

our family: annabel is 10 years old and elisabeth is 7 years old. the girls go to a good school locally within 10 minutes walk and are doing really well with a wide variety of interests such as art, singing, swimming, drama classes etc. mum is originally from russia, been in the uk for over 20years and now works in the financial services industry. dad works in the renewable energy industry in central london.

the accommodation provided for our au pair is a large private double bedroom with big windows in our beautiful old victorian house. includes semi-private use of a large bathroom (normally only shared with our eldest annabel). we have a nice big garden with flowers and fruit trees, super-fast free wi-fi / internet connection.

we live in highgate which is a very nice, green and safe part of north london. we are next to a little forest, several parks and shops, cafés and busy local community life of highgate and crouch end. we are also very close (3 minutes walk) to highgate underground station so we are very close to central london (just 20minutes direct line).

our free time: annabel loves playing board games, watching star wars, singing, dancing and reading. she is very girly and likes jewellery, make up, dresses etc. elisabeth loves art, drawing and everything creative. she is also very girly and loves dressing up etc. mum likes theatres, art galleries and shopping. dad likes watching sports, diy and movies. together we like to go to restaurants, travel, see friends, do gardening etc. we also have a flat by the seaside and go there occasionally to go for long walks on the beach and just a nice change of scenery.

our daily routine: normal working hours are from 7.30-9am and 3.30-7.30pm and one evening babysitting per week. any additional hours are to be mutually agreed and paid additionally. the job includes all the usual au pair duties for children e.g. dressing and getting ready for school, cooking simple healthy meals, playing, help with homework, bath-times, walks, taking to/from school + educational classes (walking or short bus rides only), playgrounds, after school clubs, play dates etc. we are lucky to have a weekly cleaner but we would like our au pair to help with some light housekeeping duties

starting salary is £200 per week for around 25 hours (hours vary a little week to week depending on travel, school holidays etc). we pay a bit more during school holidays due to the extra hours then. includes 20 days of paid holiday per year, bank holidays off, all normal house-hold bills, meals, wi-fi etc included.

requirements for au pair: - minimum 1 year au pair / nanny or experience looking after young children - non-smoking female over 20 years of age preferred. - eu passport, uk work permit or possibility to apply for a tier 5 youth mobility visa /ancestry visa. - positive, sociable, proactive, hard-working and kind. - good references + dbs certificate (or willing to take this security check on criminal record).
