working from their well-established branch in wigan you will be involved in all movements of plant & equipment both their own and that of their clients. the role is not just a hgv operative, they train their personnel to become multi-skilled individuals in order to assist the teams of machinery installation operatives. this can involve operating forklifts and electric cranes as well as slinging and rigging duties when required. it's a varied role that is predominantly hgv orientated but gives far greater scope and interest as you will be involved with all personnel to ensure that they deliver a first class service.
main duties
- delivery of plant & equipment to various sites throughout the uk
- transportation of clients' machinery & equipment from o various locations throughout the uk
- assisting the machinery installation
emoval teams on client sites
hours of work
contracted to 39 hours per week monday to friday however overtime is standard including weekends and away from home working. the candidate must have a flexible attitude to work in a busy, fast paced environment that changes daily. they must also have the ability and willingness to carry out regular extended hours.
holidays
- 24 days plus bank holidays. loyalty service holidays in addition when attained.
skills requirement
- hgv class 1 driver [c+e] & driving license
- current and valid driver card
- excellent level of communications
- understanding of driver's hours & working time directive
