Laboratory manager- las vegas, nv - united states, las vegas (new mexico)

our widely well-known organization is looking for a strong lab manager in the las vegas, nv area. this person will be working to help bring up the lab team, managing people, and working to manage the overall organization of the lab(s).

what does the role entail?

the laboratory manager, under the functional direction of the laboratory director, provides day-to-day supervision of testing personnel and reporting of test results. the laboratory manager resolves technical problems and takes remedial action whenever results deviate from the laboratory’s established policy.

must have:

bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in medical technology, microbiology chemistry, biology or related field.

possession of clinical laboratory scientist’s license issued by the state of california or equivalent license approved by lfs (laboratory field services).

must have at least six (6) years’ experience (combined testing and supervisory experience) in a high complexity clinical laboratory, with evidence of increasing supervisory responsibility.

must have relevant testing and supervisory experience must include one year experience each in any two of the following laboratory specialties: chemistry, hematology, coagulation, microbiology.
