fantastic, international role for an experienced legal counsel with strong commercial contract skills to join an established market leader in the medical device/ pharmaceutical industry.

responsibilities include:

building a close working relationship with leaders and teams across the business, helping to develop and implement strategy whilst providing expert guidance on managing legal risks and ensuring compliance throughout.

providing legal guidance and advice to emea regional distribution partners.

drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and agreeing commercial contracts across the business profile.

developing and improving standard templates for use throughout the organisation, including working with international offices and partners to ensure consistency and compliance.

reviewing contract management processes and procedures to ensure compliance and legality in implementation and practice.

taking a proactive approach to identifying and managing legal risks, including undertaking legal research applicable across the emea where needed.

contributing directly to the evolution and implementation of operating policies and procedural improvements.

the right candidate will have:

a degree level legal qualification from a uk or eea institution.

solid post qualification experience, ideally incorporating both in-house and private practice roles.

proven excellent commercial contract drafting, reviewing, and negotiating skills.

a good understanding of compliance, regulatory, and ethics matters within the medical device/ pharmaceutical industry.

a thorough knowledge of the law in the areas of gdpr/ data protection, information technology, and intellectual property.

experience of project management, ideally in an eu context.

the ability to produce a simplified solution from analysing a complex set of data/ issues.

a talent for understanding detailed legal language/ matters and presenting them in common business terms for multi-disciplinary colleagues.

a high level of emotional intelligence, with the ability to negotiate and influence others effectively.

proven ability to build large, international networks and excellent working relationships across borders, disciplines, and levels.
