Project design consultant - united states, riverside

as a design consultant for an acoustic tile engineering firm in riverside, you must come from a manufacturing industry - ideally in woodworking or steel. experience with shop drawing, design/draft and overseeing manufacturing processes.

 

purpose of the role:

the role operates as a conduit between sales, our clients, design and manufacturing. this role connects the clients with the custom cutting service, creating additional value within the autex offering, and facilitating the manufacture of designed components from the autex product suite with respect to the water cutter, the router and the laser etcher.

 

key result areas:

support account managers:

accurately quantify and cost jobs off architectural plans, turn around

deliver laser etching, cutting & custom frontier quotes to the account manager within agreed timeframes.

oversee manufacture of successful quotes

 

create and manage cutting & etching files:

create files for client sign off & work through the account managers to specify custom work

create shop drawings for client sign approval

support manufacturing with cut & etched jobs, quality control, freight dimensions

obtain architect sign off via account manager

 

manufacturing support:

plays a pivotal role in communicating job pre-requisites to account managers and production team  

manage account manager requests to quickly process new business opportunities, providing a professional and seamless service

 

personal development:

actively engages in performance development and review process, seeks opportunities to enhance own business, product and market knowledge

works with manager to grow individual skills and experience, seeking feedback on performance to improve individual contribution.

engages with colleagues to better understand business processes, products and industry.

 

quality and environmental:

understands individual role and responsibility in the achievement of iso 14001 and iso 9001

architect and specifiers

account managers

operations  manager and staff

design team

 

education qualifications:

design/architectural qualification, diploma level or above

 

work experience:

adobe creative suite [illustrator and photoshop]

intermediate computer literacy skills, specifically excel

cad must be able to create & manipulate dwg & dxf file to create cut files, revit, solidworks

 

desirable:

quantity surveying skills

vector based programs are an advantage
