job description: we are looking for a team member to help us make a positive difference to the environment in wales. as part of a dedicated project-team, you will lead on developing advice and guidance to help ensure the integrity of riverine special areas of conservation which are sensitive to increases in phosphorous from development. the role will involve working closely with various environmental specialisms within nrw as well as a range of external stakeholders. you will be a planner with a good understanding of how to consider potential effects from development on catchment processes (including water quality) or have worked in environmental management with a good knowledge of the planning system.

you will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of the following:

1. knowledge of: welsh, uk and eu legislation related to land use planning. welsh, uk government policy drivers and strategies in land use planning and the issues and opportunities in wales.

2. experience of: technical analysis and interpretation of a range of complex land use planning and spatial information and data sources including the preparation of la development plans, development planning and environmental assessment (sea, hra and eia) processes.

3. working with welsh government, pins, local authorities, designated landscapes, professional bodies business and sectors.

4. working in a programme and project management environment with project management experience and/or qualifications.

5. you will be a member of rtpi/other environment professional body and/or working towards membership.

6. share your knowledge and expertise to help solve problems, supporting all heads of business in epp as required.
