adecco is assisting a local knoxville client in recruiting a quality control technician. starting asap!

general information

the position requires a multi-skilled quality technician to work with our growing organization. in this position, you will perform incoming receiving, outgoing shipping, and in process production quality functions in our iso 13485 environment. high attention to detail and the flexibility to change/adapt between different and new processes for maximum efficiency are necessary skills for this role.

quality technician job duties and responsibilities

  • follow checklist of instructions to inspect incoming materials/products
  • develop and maintain inspection records/reports
  • count visual defects and cross reference to visual limit standards
  • use calipers, rulers, gauge blocks, visual charts, and inspection equipment to analyze products
  • perform inspections across all stages of production and shipping process
  • follow product specifications and document findings
  • evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviation from existing standards
  • communicate with quality assurance, operations, and engineering as needed
  • all other duties related to quality control as assigned

    qualifications

    required:

  • high school diploma/ged
  • solid understanding of test equipment
  • minimum of 2 years of inspection and/or production experience
  • demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to liaise effectively with staff
  • ability to work in a dynamic environment with constantly adapting requirements and standards
  • ability to properly follow instructions and complete necessary documentation
  • strong judgment skills
  • strong organizational skills
  • able to work standing for extended periods of time
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • experience of cleanroom operation or iso work environment is a plus
  • proficient with microsoft office (word, excel, outlook) sharepoint and teams is a plus
