adecco is looking for a material handler near bedford, ma. this position has standard working hours of monday to friday 8:00am to 4:30pm. starting at $19 per hour. please read the below qualifications to see if you are eligible to apply.
what will you do?
• picking orders from inventory
• unloading, moving and storing materials
• utilizing manual lifts, reach trucks and transfer equipment (requires applicable safety and operational training)
• storing and stacking materials according to company standards
• identifying and verifying parts
• cycle counting
• support manufacturing
education required:
• high school diploma or ged equivalent
experience required:
• 1 year of experience in a warehouse/material handling environment, preferred
• forklift experience required
knowledge, skills, and abilities:
• previous experience using an erp or inventory system; sap preferred
• experience using powered industrial trucks, required
• experience with continuous improvement and 5s theories and principles
• functional knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control procedures is preferred
• strong written and verbal communication skills
• demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
• experience with microsoft tools (outlook, excel, word, powerpoint)
physical and environmental requirements:
• works in a warehouse and manufacturing environment; is required to lift up to 70 lbs.(w/ assistance)
• may be required to stand for long periods of time while performing duties
• must be able to work safely with materials and equipment
