the role of contracts manager is an all-encompassing position of operational management. it will require the manager to develop, plan and execute the business in a highly structured way, to ensure growth, profitable returns, and safety for all within the organisation. training support will be essential to ensure that managers have the skill set to meet all the requirements of the role and this will be addressed through appraisal and training development.

at all times to adhere to company procedures regarding health & safety and where applicable to ensure all team members do like wiseat all times to behave in a way that supports the company's stated vision and values and where applicable to ensure all team members do likewise.appropriate membership of a professional body will be an advantagejob purpose:

to meet all safety and quality obligations and the needs of clients and stakeholders both internally and externally.

to respond effectively with appropriate resource to deliver reactive and cyclical works within the performance standards timescales, in highways, street lighting, street cleansing, gully cleansing, grass cutting and street cleansing operations.

to deploy resources to the network to deliver optimised services through a central hub management system serving 5 area operational depots.

key tasks and accountabilites:

to manage the operational resources in line with budget and business plan.to work safely and promote a safe environment for all operations.to ensure the completion of weekly returns for all resources for cost capture.to develop staff and operatives within their areas of responsibility to plan succession and enhance the effectiveness of the people resources.to monitor the satisfaction of clients and work through the efqm model to feed this monitoring through the business planning cycle.to monitor the performance of all resources to maintain optimum levels for plant and fleet utilisation, including the continuous development of cyclical maintenance schedules and routes.to develop and monitor the performance of production for quantity and quality, including daily kpi's.to evaluate and analyse performance data to develop continuously improved productivity and performance levels.to work with the divisional manager to develop business plan targets for the future of the organisationto actively foster a positive staff morale.if this site engineer role sounds like you then please contact sam weaver 01204 554 884 or email the cv to sweaver@fr-group.co.uk.
