Laboratory assistant i - united states, durham

a laboratory assistant for entomology support role in durham, nc is now available through adecco medical and science. in this role, you will assist lead scientists to conduct biological experiments, especially rearing and dissecting insects, tissue preparations, and other tasks in a biological laboratory environment. this is a minimum 6-month+ contract role starting immediately.

responsibilities

culturing insects for study with new crop technologies.

provide support to a team of biochemists utilizing insect sourced preparations.

responsible for data recording, cleaning, disinfecting, maintaining clean rooms and equipment in laboratories.

rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines from a sr. scientist.

you may be working on different/multiple projects based on the priorities of the supervising scientist.

qualifications (education, certifications and/or experience)

bs degree in biology or related field.

experience with working with insects, plants, and proteins is preferred.
