senior temporary works design engineer

we are currently seeking an experienced project engineer with temporary works design experience to join our client a main contractor who have secured a healthy pipeline of works throughout the yorkshire region. the candidate should have a good command of geotechnics and concrete design as well as a sound understanding of construction & setting-out techniques.

the work is fast paced and will involve juggling multiple projects and designs ranging from £5m-£100m in value, it's challenging but varied and exciting opportunity.

the role is based on projects throughout the yorkshire region.

primary responsibilities

to manage the temporary works design for several rc frame projects including groundworks. develop calculations, sketches and reports covering a wide range of temporary works schemes.

value engineer schemes to improve environmental impact, safety and costs.

contribute to securing new work by providing technical support to tender schemes, identifying innovative and cost-effective strategies and solutions.
