Senior site manager - united kingdom, chesterfield, derbyshire

my client are a well-established and expanding main contractor who operate throughout the yorkshire region. they have recently won an nec 3 contract, working on refurbishments to hospitals in the south yorkshire area.

as a result of this growth, they are currently looking to recruit a site manager on a permanent basis to work on these projects. the refurbishments will consist of externals and internals and will involve brickwork, groundwork & m&e.

reporting to a contracts manager, you will be responsible for:

 requisition of materials

 managing subcontractors

 issuing sub-contractor short term programmes

 holding regular progress meetings

 updating the construction programme

 managing trades/labour on site

 checking the quality of all plant on site

 managing h&s on site

 attending monthly cost meetings

 temporary works permits

the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a stable and progressive career background, and have a strong background in public sector/commercial refurbishment works. smsts, black cscs and first aid.

the salary is up to £50k + package
