are you a housekeeper in london looking for a new full-time role?

we are looking for a lovely live-out housekeeper / family assistant to look after a 5-bedroom fine house located in barnes sw13, london. the household includes three grown-up children and two dogs. the successful candidate will be reliable, friendly, organised, flexible and resourceful. a driving licence and being fluent in english are required for this position.

working schedule: 8.30am to 5.30pm, monday to friday (45 hours per week)

starting date: asap, but the family can wait for the right candidate;

the duties include:

keeping the family house (5 bedrooms) clean, tidy and organised.
overseeing spring cleaning.
walking and feeding 2 dogs and overseeing grooming, vet visits and other animal care.
managing trades/services to house – proactively booking maintenance in for gardening, tree trimming, window cleaning, household servicing etc and ensuring tradesmen are paid.
collection and delivery of dry cleaning, shoe healing etc.
organising teenager boarding school needs, clothes, labelling and packing/unpacking.
responsibility for ensuring family medication is ordered/re-ordered in timely fashion and that appointments are booked in.
ordering/buying weekly groceries, unpacking and storing. fridge/freezer hygiene and management.
ordering on-line shopping for family as requested and organising returns.
occasional cooking/support preparing food for guests – ability to follow a recipe.
daily errands – making bookings, taking parcels to the post office etc
domestic filing and housekeeping diary maintenance
occasional driving. ability to collect 15-year-old from boarding school in dorset occasionally an asset, but not essential.

the minimum requirements to apply are:

previous housekeeping experience in working for an hnw family
confident driver & pet friendly
computer literate
able to follow recipes
dbs check and references are required prior to start

the salary is cca. £46,000 gross per year (£35,000 net pa). the position comes with 5 weeks paid holiday per year (3 of employer’s choice and 2 of employee’s choice). new citroen supplied for professional and personal use, taxed and insured. fuel costs for professional provided.
