    responsibilities for this system analyst position include:

  • actively monitor, maintain, and ensure that all nextgen applications are operational and performing as expected. this includes but is not limited to applications: ehr, pm, file maintenance, systems administrator, ng share, rosetta interfaces.
  • perform as the first-line clinical applications support member on the it helpdesk team to handle in a timely manner all clinical applications setup, application errors, training issues, clinical user account setup inquiries, etc., and escalate any complex issues as needed to systems manager. communicate resolution to the user when ticket is completed.
  • participate in the build/setup of the clinical applications and perform any necessary tasks. this may include, but not be limited to, setup new nextgen user accounts, user security/permissions, master file records, preference lists, scheduling administration, add wet signatures to ehr documents, patient merges, remove erroneous encounters, etc.
  • under the advisement and request of hr and clinical operation teams, perform in the clinical application configuration the successful and complete onboarding and off-boarding of users after confirming with the finance team that all chart billing is completed, if applicable.
  • once epic is rolled out, provide direct support to clinical operations and patient care teams to facilitate the introduction, acceptance, integration, and optimal use of the epic application in the clinics.
  • administer the site specialist-only areas of epic, including: smart phrases, smart lists, epic user account security,   webtools functions: workstations, printers, order transmittal, and destination maps, printer troubleshooting, preference lists, patient     letters, patient merge, lot manager, record viewer, fee schedule, provider master file, referral rules, in basket pools, visit types
  • for epic ehr, work collaboratively with clinicians and in concert with established and approved ehr processes to manage requests for
  • additions of diagnoses and procedures codes to the system. manage the requestor’s expectations until request is satisfied.
  • requests for additional system-level charting tools from the review process through follow-up communication to users. coach the user through creating their own smartphrases, etc.
  • additional clinical workflows or requests
  • collaborate with ochin and member oversight or advisory workgroups to optimize use of the system through implementation of new epic pm and ehr features and upgrades.
  • provide check-ins with the sites' clinical staff to provide complete systems support and to assess end-users' systems fluency and satisfaction.
  • collaborate with ochin to learn and test new features and upgrades prior to implementation.
  • stay abreast with the breadth of the ochin epic solutions and tools available by attending training sessions and by utilizing frequently the ochin learning sites and materials.
  • raise tickets with ochin support and/or nextgen support on any inquiries as delegated by the systems manager.
  • attend appropriate clinic department meetings as the epic applications expert and as the ochin liaison.
  • performs any additional requests or tasks as delegated by the systems manager.
  • qualifications for the system analyst position include:

  • experience with providing ongoing clinical applications support and the implementation of an enterprise epm and ehr software is necessary for the success of this role. (ochin) epic experience preferred.
  • interpersonal effectiveness required to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders across multiple sites (i.e., physicians, nurses, administrators, external agencies, and support vendors, etc.)
  • self-motivated to learn new skills/software with minimal guidance.
  • excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated initiative and flexibility to meet deadlines and end-user expectations.
