an exciting opportunity for an experienced contracts manager to join a well-established maintenance contractor to manage social housing planned and cyclical maintenance works to social housing stock in the carlisle & surrounding areas.

my client are currently looking to recruit an experienced contracts manager to ensure the smooth operation of a number of designated contracts (predominantly social housing refurbishments). with responsibility for the control and management of a number of site managers, the contract manager will ensure contracts are completed to programme, with zero defects and within budget.

reporting to an operations manager, your duties will be:

regular site visits on a weekly basis making sure all site managers and projects are running to programmeassisting the site managers with any problems or concerns on sitesenior management meetings on progression of sites making sure directors are aware of each developmentdiscussing build-ability and design issuesmanaging health & safetyprogramming and planning all worksdevising a build programmebeing the company representative at client meetingsrecruitment of staff, organising trades and labourensuring kpi's are being achievedgeneral delivery of the contractmonitor budget on individual contractschair meetings when requiredthe ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate previous experience managing multiple social housing / maintenance contracts delivering a mix of internal and external works. you will be a good man manager with the ability to lead and motivate a team of site managers, tenant liaison officers and various trades.

you will also hold valid health and safety certificates including cscs card, smsts, first aid training.

this is a permanent role, and my client are offering £50-55k + package
