responsibilities for job include finance analyst but are not limited to:
assume ownership of current treasury data management controls across multiple banking / treasury / traded products. ownership will include building, delivering and monitoring daily data controls essential for liquidity / regulatory reporting.
generate daily reports on data quality breaks and data validation shifts outside of bau thresholds.
drives and participates in design, development and implementation of future treasury data controls.
liaise with global liquidity management (glm), technology team and other data management analysts to communicate control status and escalate issues according to defined process
data control governance - ensuring process controls, data validation activities, and measurement processes remain timely and relevant. create and maintain required documentation and evidence to ensure adherence to edm standards and rda requirements
work under minimal supervision on corporate treasury projects that require creative solutions and, possibly, automated solutions
operational excellence – improving treasury data management functions for production, data governance, data change and regulatory/audit activities
change management - validates data and signs off on reports within test environments to confirm application accuracy, functionality and edm standards are met
qualifications for this finance analyst job:
required skills
bachelor's degree / or equivalent work experience
3+ years bank experience, or other data control environment
advanced knowledge of microsoft software (excel, word, power point) including advanced excel functions such as pivot tables, vlookup and microsoft visual basic (vba) to supplement sql skills in data analysis exercises
hands-on experience querying and analyzing large sets of data using sql
ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be creative, and be able to balance multiple priorities simultaneously
strong analytical and problem solving capabilities skills needed to perform complex data analysis
must possess very strong communication skills with teammates and leadership within treasury data management (tdm)
ability to create executive-ready presentations
ability to work independently and take lead on addressing issues
desired skills
knowledge and prior experience with liquidity reporting / regulatory reporting
basic working knowledge of tableau
strong knowledge and prior experience with data controls monitoring and/or data control governance practices
familiarity with bac enterprise data management policy & standards
must have qualifications
advanced experience with microsoft office (excel, outlook, word, visio) - pivot tables, vlookup and microsoft visual basic (vba)
data analyst experience (acceptable experience includes – financial data reporting, data governance or data control)
banking or financial experience
proficiency with tableau and/or alteryx
