prospectus are pleased to be partnering with paul hamlyn foundation as they seek to recruit a part time, temporary grants assistant to join the team for 3 or 4 days per week. this role will provide administrative support to a team of grant-makers, as well as some admin support to the head of programmes.

paul hamlyn foundation (phf) is one of the largest independent grant-making organisations in the uk, who help people overcome disadvantage and lack of opportunity, so that they can realise their potential and enjoy fulfilling and creative lives. they have a particular interest in supporting young people and a strong belief in the importance of the arts and social justice, which is the golden thread that links all their work.

as the grants assistant, you will work closely with colleagues on the team to build and support relationships with a diverse network of grantees, partners and supporters. you will be the first point of contact for the arts-based learning and teacher development funds, including handling and scheduling enquiries calls and updating material as well as provide wide ranging administrative support to the grant making process.

the successful candidate will have demonstrable office-based administration experience ideally within or with charities, third sector and/or arts and cultural organisations. accuracy and a high level of attention to detail will be essential to success of this post as will outstanding communication skills and a friendly and helpful approach to customer service. you will be a team player and committed to the aims and objectives of the foundation.
