our westminster floating support service provides flexible housing related support across all tenures; the aim is to enable service users to continue to live independently within their own home, regardless of tenure type.

the role of the floating support worker (prs) is to support a caseload of clients who have been placed in private rented accommodation, across london via the westminster prs service. you will be part of a dynamic team and your focus will be on addressing housing related issues, improving quality of life and promoting independence. this work will require supporting clients experiencing multiple disadvantages including drug/alcohol use, mental ill health, physical/sensory challenges and those with offending histories.

as the post-holder, you will carry out a comprehensive assessment of needs and risks for each client. you will also carry out work in line with planned support, making sure that clients are actively involved and that the support offered, is full and holistic.

we are looking to recruit highly motivated and creative individuals to join a forward thinking, recovery-focused team.

to be considered for this post, you will need to demonstrate:

helping vulnerable people to identify personal goals and supporting them through a process of change

managing challenging situations in relation to people

working in partnership with a range of individuals/agencies to coordinate activities and achieve positive outcome.

an understanding of the support needs of people with low incomes, including rent payments and arrears

in return, you will be provided with a diverse range of work experiences within the role, excellent training opportunities, and the opportunity for progression within an organisation with a history of internal staff moving into more senior roles.
