an ambitious and growing main contractor with a turnover in excess of £150million are currently seeking an experienced design manager to work from their yorkshire region. the vast majority of their work is gained through repeat clients with numerous partnership frameworks.

reporting to the senior contracts manager you will predominantly be working on healthcare schemes throughout the region.

design manager - duties and responsibilities:

to attend internal and external meetings including chairing and accurately minute as necessary ensuring distribution to relevant partiesreview design drawings in accordance with building regulationsreview design proposals from internal and external consultants ensuring most competitive and effective solution arrived at.support procurement department in evaluation of alternative design solutions offered by subcontractors.research and develop new products for alternative forms of constructionmonitor health & safety issues in accordance with chartered status requirement.commercial awarethe successful candidate

ideally be working towards or possess hnc or degree in construction and built environmentmust have experience working in a design manager role working on large commercial projectsyou will have a sound knowledge of building regulationsknowledge of autocad design softwarestrong time management and communication skills.smsts, cscs card
