adecco is assisting an international manufacturer in recruiting for a current shipping & receiving clerk opening in lynchburg, va. in this role you will be working to prepare parts and components for shipping; receive, verify, check-in, and distribute delivered parts, components, and supplies

essential duties & responsibilities:
• track and gather parts and information from throughout the plant to fulfill orders
• assemble parts as required prior to shipping
• prepare shipments of parts
• generate packing slips and shipping documents
• contact carriers to arrange special shipments
• take hot shipments to carrier after hours as necessary
• maintain required records of shipments
• order and maintain stock parts
• order special hardware and other such items for specific work orders
• load/unload trucks using forklift
• receive deliveries and verify accuracy
• check parts received into purchasing system
• follow-up with purchasing to ensure parts orders are processed and identify any lead time issues
• distribute parts to appropriate area
• compile and deliver receivers to accounts payable clerk
qualifications:
• strong computer skills (windows, general file manipulation, outlook, excel, autocad tru-view, internal and ups applications)
• demonstrated ability to work with other employees at all levels, as well as field ser-vice, vendor, and customer personnel
• comprehensive knowledge of conveyor parts
• able to read drawings
• strong attention to detail
• able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis,
pay for this position is $14 - $17 per hour. 7am – 5pm. monday – friday with half days on saturdays.
