hainsworth has been responsible for weaving the look of iconic england ever since the company was established in 1783. many of the famous images that have been used across the world to celebrate great britain are made unforgettable through the use of hainsworth cloth, including the striking scarlet of the royal guards, the ceremonial uniforms worn by the royal family and the military uniforms worn during the charge of the light brigade.

we are looking for a meticulous knotter to join our team.

about the role:

you will join hainsworth as a knotter to work on our various types of looms.

the knotter will prepare the looms to the correct specifications prior to weaving thereby ensuring the highest quality woven fabrics are produced in accordance with pre-planned schedules that guarantee lead times and customer demands are met.

your role will involve changing warp beams and knotting new warps into the looms using our knotting machines, ending up & down and re-sleying.

who are we looking for?

you will:

have experience as a knotter or at the very least have worked within textiles with a good understanding of other functions such as weaving, crealing, beaming or similar – full training will be provided.

have a good eye to detail and be able to follow warp plans & patterns.

be able to spot yarn defects and have a good overall knowledge of weaving processes.

be quality focused.
