the job will involve
driving to customers houses and premises
liaising with customers to ensure installations can take place
adhering to health and safety legislation
working at height - climbing ladders safely
working in underground telecommunications chambers and in street cabinets
installing fibre cable to customer premises
installing a network connection point in customer premises
explaining the new connection to customers and ensuring they are fully satisfied
you must
must be able to drive with a valid driving licence
must be over 21 years of age (for company vehicle insurance)
must be able to work at heights after training, as the job will involve climbing bt/openreach poles
information
1. this is a contract role, and you are paid for the days you work and the jobs you complete
2. this is an fttp installation engineer position and you will be provided training should you require it.
3. the rate is £45 per job / £10 per job for fuel
4. you should be able to achieve 3-5 job per day, giving £135 - £225 per day
5. fall back day rate is £90 per day (based on a 4 week view on days worked)
6. payments in training is £80 per day – duration would depend on experience.
7. this is working outside in all weather conditions
8. this is physical work, and some equipment/materials are heavy.
