Maintenance mechanic - united states, springfield (massachusetts)

adecco is helping a local client in fall river ma in search of a preventative maintenance technician.  the maintenance technician position involves knowledge of cnc mills, cnc lathes, and other mechanical manufacturing machines. the role will be responsible for performing corrective and preventive maintenance on all machines within the factory. this preventative maintenance technician position will pay between $17-23/hr  depending on experience

 

hours: are monday-friday 7am-3:30pm.

 

responsibilities:

perform preventative maintenance on a variety on manufacturing equipment (belts adjustment, filter replacement, disassembly/reassembly of coolant systems

perform mechanical work (e.g., conveyor bearing and chain replacement, major equipment overhaul, motor/gearbox replacements, valve and pump maintenance, and lube routes

operate scissor lift and basic forklift. 

knowledge of lock-out, tag-out procedure

basic plumbing and pipe fitting used on coolant systems

use safe practices and comply with all company policies, procedures and health, safety and environmental regulations, as required.

adhere to plant safety and sanitation requirements; complete assigned work efficiently and per standard operating procedures (sops).

requirements

high school diploma, ged or equivalent

basic computer and math skills

ability to stand for long periods of time

ability to work in above ambient temperatures

maintain high attendance standards

ability to strictly adhere to written and verbal instructions

2+ years of working in a manufacturing environment
