private personal assistant / carer for young woman to help with social and work-related activities. no experience necessary

an illness when i was 15 left me paralysed from the neck down, but 22 years later it hasn’t stopped me from getting on with life. i graduated from university, love socialising with my friends, have a responsible part-time job and have travelled extensively.

i personally employ a great team of personal assistants who are my arms and legs and allow me to get on with everyday life, such as socialising, travel and, of course, shopping. we are likely to spend quite a bit of time together so we would need to get on, this is one of the main requirements of the job so if we get on well, we’re off to a great start!

i’m looking for a bubbly, friendly, outgoing person. someone who is good with people, easy going, calm and up for a laugh. i am looking for the ideal candidate to experience my busy lifestyle with me.

i have an assistance dog (who doesn’t quite understand the meaning of assistance as she is too soft and friendly) so you will need to be comfortable around her.

there will also be some personal care needed, but prior experience as a carer is not required as comprehensive professional training will be provided. so long as you are willing to learn how i want my care, then everything will be fine.

the only thing essential is a valid uk driving licence (although makeup and hair skills would also be an advantage!).

weekend and night rate from £10.77 - £11.90 per hour. standard rate £10.20- £11.26 per hour. performance-related increases each year. there is an additional on-call payment of £20 per on-call session. it is a part time position (around 15-25 hours per week), based on a 4-week working rota. various shifts required. some weekend work is essential. more hours will be available to cover annual leave etc. for more information on shift patterns, a full job description or an application form please contact me.
