Field technician - united states, fort collins

job summary:
executes the delivery or pick-up of event rental equipment on various sites including, but not limited to venues, private residences, public streets, or corporate properties. a lead technician is responsible for ensuring that all contracts are completed to the mutual expectations of the customer and company while providing high quality customer service as a frontline representative. safely and properly installing equipment according to the manufacturers’ specifications, training video(s), and expectations from the direct supervisor is vital to ensure safety of all team members and clients throughout the course of each event. this position provides day-to-day coordination and leadership to other employees performing similar work. to be successful as a lead technician, you will demonstrate strong leadership skills, have high attention to detail, be an effective communicator, and enforce safety. while inside the warehouse, multi-craft functions such as repair work, loading/unloading vehicles, or product maintenance may be required.
the entry level position as a lead technician is level 1. 

  • safely deliver, install, pick-up, or uninstall a variety of event rental equipment for various clients
  • interpret event rental contracts, special instructions, site maps, and layouts provided by the sales representative for each assigned order
  • complete accurate paperwork counts and procedures at all times given current system and training
  • capable of troubleshooting and resolving problems while on-site:
  • basic troubleshooting of all equipment
  • provide client instruction on equipment use as needed
  • handle guests’ concerns and complaints professionally and calmly to resolve problems according to customer service policies.
  • communicate effectively with team members and management to relay any important information on site challenges for preventative measures on future orders or proactive problem-solving
  • properly and safely operate:
  • jack hammer/sledge hammer
  • stake puller
  • capable of safely driving assigned preferred vehicles/equipment based on level
  • maintain a neat and professional appearance by wearing a uniform and adhering dress code
  • respond to all emails and calendars timely, complete all paperwork within appropriate timelines to ensure efficiency and proper communication
