the successful candidate will be skilled in machine handling and maintenance, including tractors, handlers, slurry tankers, mowers, rollers and other equipment used in managing grassland and a large dairy herd.
as a free-range dairy farm, there will be a requirement to assist with milking, feeding cows and calves, and the cleaning and bedding of animal houses.
the farm is close to several first class schools and the town offers numerous recreational opportunities.
essential skills:
skilled in the operation of tractors, handlers and grassland management machinery, including slurry tankers, mowers and rollers
experienced in milking a large dairy herd
calf rearing
livestock feeding, including use of diet feeders
