over the past three years, edf has created a dedicated company - hynamics - to work on the production and distribution of low carbon and renewable hydrogen.

through organic growth, acquisitions and partnerships we are now looking for a business development manager who will help with structuring and developing hydrogen projects in the uk.

as business development manager you will play a key role in maximising the value creation of the hydrogen business building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stake holders as well as multi-disciplinary subject-matter experts (e.g. engineering, procurement, legal etc) to de-risk projects and prepare them for investment decisions, securing hydrogen offtake agreements and a clear delivery plan prior to handover to construction for the project(s).

after the financial investment decision, you will in turn assist the senior bdm to act as client to the project in the construction phase, ensuring the cto team delivers the project according to the investment case and providing support where necessary.

what s my role and how will i fit in?

as an experienced business development manager, you will have a strong working knowledge and understanding of project life-cycles and risks across low-carbon assets.

you will be providing support to implement strategies into the uk as well as partnership, marketing, commercial and sales policies.

experience of carrying out market studies will be part of this role to ensure we can capture information necessary to grow the business.

you will have the ability to develop new activities in line with the development strategy of hynamics in the uk. you will be negotiating new partnerships and supporting where necessary for the success of investment projects.

this role is not a sales role but does require excellent relationship building skills as well as project management skills.

what do you need to be great at this role?

as the successful business development manager you will ideally have a masters degree or equivalent in engineering, finance or business.

our preference would be 3 - 5 years experience in business development, strategic marketing and sales.

speaking french would be a bonus.
