Technical account/project manager - united kingdom, burnley, lancashire

due to exciting growth within the technology and r&d department of the business we require a technical project/account manager to join us. the department provides bespoke cloud software solutions for a wide variety of businesses, managing the business processes for hundreds of millions pounds of transactions annually. we are a fast growing and ambitious company working with exciting clients nationally and internationally.

in addition to developing cloud software, the business works on research and development projects developing new technologies within the iot sector both internally and externally on behalf of clients. a current internal r&d project has recently won around £400k investment over the next 15 months.

whilst we operate a flexible working policy, we do believe an initial period in the office would be beneficial. there is a minimum of once a month in the office for flexible staff. this is open for discussion and we would be flexible for the right candidate.

main responsibilities:

- taking ownership of the delivery of project scope of works and executing the project plan, tracking progress and actively managing the projects from start to finish

- consulting with clients to understand and interpret their business needs and requirements and translate those into project specifications

- consulting with clients to develop and produce project scope of works, timescales and ultimately produce project management plans to deliver projects

- communicate and report to senior management, internal team and the clients to ensure all stakeholders are kept informed

- manage multiple projects in parallel

- work with r&d team to ensure delivery of research projects on budget and on time

- support senior management in implementing new business software

requirements:

- experience in project managing software developers

- must have a good understanding of technical solutions and their implementation

- experience of working with it and coding professionals

- must have experience running/account managing multiple technical projects

- must be passionate about technology and providing solutions that make a difference

- be a good problem solver with a can-do attitude

- able to work under pressure when required in order to meet deadlines or when projects have the potential to impact business critical processes and software

- ideally will have experience with working with agile/scrum methodologies as well as waterfall methodologies

- ideally will have worked with jira software or similar
