quality assurance manager – direct hire 

adecco is recruiting for a qa manager who is seeking an opportunity to become part of a successful and growing topeka company!

our client is committed to providing private label and custom manufactured pet supplements designed to support and maintain healthy pets. this company produces high quality, unique health supplements and health treats for dogs, cats, and horses in the form of soft chews, baked treats, powders, oils and liquids.

primary accountabilities:

ensures that the company maintains compliance with the food-safety plan, cgmps, or other audit/inspection (including usda and fda) and product export requirements. the manager will be responsible for inspecting procedures and outputs and identifying non-conformity issues.

the qa manager will also be responsible for working with the company’s director of operations to maintain meticulous records for incoming and outgoing shipments, identifying items that need to be replenished and maintain finished product inventory lists. the qa manager will also supervise and manage the daily activities of other quality and warehouse employees.

some major duties include:

•maintaining meticulous “audit” records and works with third party auditors and inspectors to ensure smooth audits and inspections.

•performing quality control procedures following established company protocols.

•developing and analyzing data using basic skills in math, statistics, and excel    spreadsheets.

•understanding and applying haccp, plant quality, plant gmps, gfsi certification, and food safety requirements

•working with regulatory agencies within the united states and abroad to prepare for export of products.

•maintaining all necessary and required documentation for export audits.

•identifying new packaging and ingredient vendors with products and services that add to customer satisfaction.

•working with the company’s director of operations to understand and help manage the company’s inventory tracking system for optimized inventory control procedures.

•developing business relationships with suppliers and clients.

qualifications:

•two (2) year degree or technical degree in a related field

•minimum of three (3) years of experience in a customer-facing role

•strong familiarity with microsoft, inventory management software and/or quickbooks.

•four (4) year degree in a management field.

•previous experience in food manufacturing.

great salary and benefits include:

salary range: $45,760 - $52,000 doe – available match up to 4% (after 90 days)

health insurance – bcbs – 30% company paid

vacation – accrual up to 10 days per year

pto is accrued
