job site location: kings cross (commutable from canterbury)
salary: £60,000-£65,000pa + package including train fare paid + 23 additional holiday days
hours: monday - friday 7am-4:30pm
an exciting opportunity for an experienced mechanical project manager to join the expanding team for a new project based in kings cross, london. my client is based out of canterbury but runs projects all over the south east and london.
role/responsibilities:
tender review/validationdesign management (reviewing design liaising with client, main contractor and consultants)procurement of subcontractors, kit and planttechnical submittalsrfis - liaison with client team, main contractor and sub contractorsvalue engineering where applicableprogramming of works - using ms project or asta projecthealth & safety management (rams)commercial responsibility, assisting with sub contractor variation accounts working alongside project specific quantity surveyor.management of variationsteam coordination (overseeing junior engineers, construction managers and supervisors)progress meetings with sub contractors, client and internal meetingsoverseeing commissioning stagesformulation of om manuals and client handoverthe ideal candidate:
must have previous mechanical project management experiencemust be able to complete all paperwork and admin tasks to be able to follow the project procedure from start to finishmust understand the costs involved with running the project and be able to monitor and control the costsexperience managing projects to a minimum of £1 million within your own disciplinea minimum 5 years' experience in a management rolethe candidate will show longevity in previous employmentin return they offer:
