Micro lab technician - united states, cambridge bay
adecco is searching for a microbiology lab technician located in cambridge, ohio. the lab technician is responsible for product and materials testing, trouble shooting and implementation of the facility micro control plan. this is a possible temp-to-perm opportunity with a starting pay of $20.75/hour. hours are 5:00 am-5:00 pm - scheduled days will rotate and will include every other weekend.
duties include:
perform microbiological testing of raw materials
assist with product, equipment, and cleaning & sanitizing validations
maintain lab equipment and calibrations
maintain the laboratory quality control systems
maintain properly documentation of results
understand and follow gmp’s
provide support to resolve nonconformance issues and identify corrective and preventative actions
support development and implement plant-wide microbiological control program
trouble shoot laboratory issues and provide resolutions from audits
minimum qualifications required:
b.s. in microbiology or science-related degree
experience with basic lab equipment such as ph, balances, viscometers, etc, including microbiology methods
experience with general documentation practices and gmp compliance
experience with common microbiology lab instrumentation
good computer skills
ability & flexibility to work a rotational schedule to support a 24/7 plant facility operation
preferred:
3-5 years’ experience as a microbiologist in a manufacturing environment
experience with sap
