Electrical project engineer - united states, oklahoma city

adecco is hiring immediately for an electrical project engineer with a local client in broken arrow, ok. the electrical project engineer performs essential duties with pay starting at $40.86/hour, plus available overtime. in this role, you will be responsible for controls development, engineering design, development, and production support of product lines that include winch, hoist, and drive units. this role offers professional development and access to global opportunities in a challenging, high-performance environment where you’ll be able to achieve a rewarding career that reflects an individual’s talents and aspirations.

 

essential functions / responsibilities:

design electrical and electronic circuitry including schematic and pcb layout

design wire harnesses including schematic layout

assemble and test prototype designs

create technical documentation such as bom, test reports, and other project-associated documentation

quickly identify design issues and appropriate solutions during the course of product development

coordinate and complete projects and design efforts with other groups and departments within the company.

apply engineering techniques gained through study or experience, frequently requiring independent evaluation.

direct and conduct necessary research incidental to design.

complete design projects and manufacturing process changes from planning, calculation, and design analysis, design, testing, evaluation and implementation necessary for successful project completion.

identify, prioritize, and coordinate resolution of production, production control, and quality assurance issues as appropriate.

develop, maintain, and present project metrics: cost capital, performance, milestones/timeline as directed.

utilizes creo and windchill as the cad and data management system.

utilize and maintain six sigma, dfss and lean tools throughout the design and validation process.

occasional travel is required.

 

requirements:

bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology

5+ yrs. design experience in related industry

working knowledge of instrumentation and data acquisition

working knowledge of schematic and pcb layout software (e.g., kicad, eagle, etc.)

experience with 8 and 16-bit processors and a variety of sub-systems including 12/24 vdc power, pwm, a/d, serial, can, etc.

working knowledge of graphical programming including labview, hf-impulse, parker iqan

working knowledge of embedded c programming

working knowledge of event-based programming (e.g. national instruments veristand)

working knowledge of instrumentation and data acquisition

working knowledge of schematic and pcb layout software (e.g. kicad, eagle, etc.)

experience in java programming

experience with sae j1939 standard

experience in six sigma documentation is a plus (e.g. lean, dfss, black belt)

creo/windchill experience

5+ yrs. design experience in related industry

manager/team lead experience
