Account manager-sales - united states, sacramento

adecco is currently assisting educational testing service, recruiting for an account manager-sales located in either ca, az, co, il.

this account manager in sales role will work with institutions to accept toefl essentials, toefl paper and other toefl family products at targeted high schools as well as undergraduate & graduate programs. the account manager will build and manage long term strategic relations with clients to identify and pursue new business opportunities with customers via up-selling and cross-selling methods. also, to identifies and pursues business opportunities with new potential clients.

responsibilities for these jobs include but are not limited to:

  • get toefl essentials acceptance (close sales) at graduate, undergraduate schools, and high schools
  • identify, broaden, and expand new institutional contacts and add them to salesforce
  • work with product managers / marketing teams to develop innovative sales, marketing ideas, and effective outreach strategies
  • follows strategies to attain and improve client satisfaction - provides management with feedback for improvement
  • understands client goals, find opportunities for growth, and enters opportunities in salesforce
  • where appropriate, secures contract renewal or gain product acceptance for toefl family of products and where appropriate, secures references and testimonials
  • shares critical client feedback (including product issues, operational concerns) with sales leadership or appropriate team members from product or marketing.
  • adheres to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to job function
  • candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for this job:

  • undergraduate degree (or relevant experience) in related fields such as: business administration, marketing or other areas combined with relevant work experience
  • 5-7 years of combined experience (client management, business development, sales, admissions)
  • demonstrable relevance within the undergraduate and graduate marketplace proven network of contacts or abilities to generate contacts quickly
  • required skills:

  • understanding of higher education marketplace
  • consultative sales training – miller heiman, spin, challenger, etc.
  • strong customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of audiences (internal and external, mid to senior)
  • self-motivated and ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • salesforce – ability to create reports, emails, and campaigns
  • shares business insights gained from direct buyer interactions (gather, analyze, and report market intelligence with sales leadership, marketing, and product teams)
