we a friendly british / french family looking for a lovely nanny for our two children, a girl aged nine and a boy aged four. part time 21 - 26 hours over four days, after school pick ups with one full day.

we are looking for someone nurturing, responsive and fun who wants to build a strong bond with our children, as well as being organized and firm when necessary. we use the resources of hand in hand parenting and aha parenting a lot in our family life, so we are looking for someone happy with these approaches – either already familiar or willing to learn. our previous nanny really became part of the family and remains a friend, we hope to build something similar.

hours and responsibilities:

21 - 26 hours (to be agreed) over four days a week school pick ups (and some drop offs); similar or more hours during agreed weeks in the school holidays. to support completion of homework to an agreed schedule. to cook a family meal each day. additional family life support as needed (light shopping, present buying, organizing kids clothes and toys or helping organise children's birthday parties). to provide some support with household tasks (emptying the dishwasher, keeping the kitchen tidy, hanging or folding washing) and admin. we have an excellent cleaner so this is just to help keep the household running well.

requirements:

must have a good command of french – enough to help with primary school homework from a bilingual school. for the right candidate we can offer flexibility around the basic hours and holidays.
