an excellent opportunity for a trainee production technician to join a well-established company based in thatcham, berkshire!
the company:
they are the uk’s original manufacturer and supplier of wheelchair accessible vehicles. due to further sales increases they are seeking several experienced production technicians to join their busy workshop.
they are now looking to recruit a trainee vehicle conversion technician to join their trim fit section team.
role & responsibilities:
observe all relevant health & safety procedures. refitting of converted vehicle interior and exterior including trim panels, carpet, head lining, lighting and bumper. fitting of electrical equipment. including winches, reversing sensors, belts, lighting. fitting of options as per customer specifications, including seats, ramp, storage. modification and fit trim-related sub-assemblies. fitting of seats, ramps, manual steps. safe use of power tools and equipment where required keep good housekeeping.
candidate requirements:
experience or interest in vehicles / mechanics / electrics advantageous. various hand power tooling experience. general knowledge of diy would be beneficial.

training. all tooling. all work wears. canteen facilities. onsite parking.
working hours:
40h per week. 7:00am – 4:00pm mon – thu. 7:00am –finish early 12:45pm friday.
other benefits:
holidays 25 + bank holidays with an existing agreement to use holiday between christmas and new year. pension 3% company contribution.
this is a fulltime position and in return the company is offering a minimum starting salary of £23,000 with pay increase review after initial 3- and 6-month probation period.
