Quality engineer - united kingdom, huntingdon, cambridgeshire

a fantastic opportunity to join our quality team in the role of quality engineer. reporting into the quality manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving continuous quality improvement using tools such as root cause analysis, 5y, pareto analysis etc.

key responsibilities will include:

drive continuous quality improvement.

manage quality improvement meetings.

support the quality product testing team.

support continuous process improvement.

ensure that h&s and environmental excellence are at the core of what we do.

manage calibration of measuring equipment.

manage the control of test records.

support internal management systems auditing.

support audits by external approvals bodies such as the bsi

manage product approvals such as bsi kitemarks, wras, dwi, etc

requirements

required experience and knowledge

experience in quality, auditing and production engineering.

applied knowledge of continuous improvement techniques and lean principles.

demonstrated experience of quality engineering techniques.

functional competencies

excellent administration and organizational skills including documentation and record keeping.

good teamworking skills across multi-disciplines.

excellent communication skills

good it skills including excel and word
