Learning experience designer - united states, santa clara

adecco is hiring immediately for a learning experience designer with a local client in santa clara, ca. the learning experience designer performs essential duties with pay starting at $45.00/hour, plus available overtime. in this role, you will bring a combination of creativity, instructional design capabilities, and project management skills. the mission is to digitize, curate, and deliver learning experiences that enable upskilling to generate business impact. the learning experience designer will work with subject matter experts to design and create high-quality elearning products, engaging learning experiences, and meaningful assessments.

 

responsibilities listed but not limited to:

partner with subject matter experts to design and develop learning materials and experiences, with clear strategies and tactics to achieve desired learning outcomes

apply adult-learning principles to develop highly impactful and engaging learning materials (for example, graphic visuals, digital activities, animations, storyboards, and handouts)

collaborate with video producers and learning platform administrators to maintain and refresh existing courses to ensure content is up to date and meeting the learner’s needs

provide weekly learning analytics, insights, and actions to stakeholders

serve as project manager on course development by managing and clearly communicating scope, deliverables, timeline, and risk mitigation

able to adjust to changes in priorities or scope of projects as needed

keep up to date with current trends in learning and development and educational technology to leverage best practices and new techniques

requirements:

a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

intermediate – 1-3 years experience

experience with design tools used in a learning creation environment (for example, ms powerpoint, adobe photoshop/illustrator, adobe captivate, articulate storyline, techsmith camtasia)

excellent project management, critical thinking, writing, and communication skills

the ability to take initiative and drive decision making

demonstrated ownership and consistent delivery on commitments, exceptional organizational skills, follow-through, and attention to detail

able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and adapt project scope and timeline if needed

a desire for feedback and continued learning

able to provide an elearning portfolio or demonstrate the ability to create high-quality interactive elearning products

preferably experience with designing and developing engineering and technical curriculum (ideally in the semiconductor or adjacent fields)

this position will be mostly remote, preferably locate near our hubs (santa clara or austin) and will be available to travel a few times a month to meet onsite
