Quality inspector - united states, east windsor

adecco is assisting a local customer who is recruiting for experienced quality inspectors. the payrate is negotiable for 1 -2 years experience. the hours are 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

responsibilities:

  • inspects priority lots, “a” lots, or on a basis of date received. checks purchase order for correct drawings and revision. compares number of parts received to order quantity and checks for material certification or analysis reports. copies dimensions and other required criteria from drawings to inspection report requirements..
  • interprets complex mechanical blueprints, tolerance designations, symbols and abbreviations. must correctly interpret bilateral, unilateral and positional tolerance. must use good judgment in interpreting requirements so lots are not needlessly sent to material review board.
  • uses supplementary documents for information on screw threads, material hardness, tensile strength, plating requirements and test requirements. uses various mil-specs to obtain sample plan or other required data. a thorough knowledge of the receiving inspection manual, icp-278, procedures is required.
  • performs first article inspection on new part numbers, new vendors and modified or repaired tooling. first article inspection requires a thorough inspection with results double-checked and documented. accuracy of measurements is of the utmost importance due to the cost of tooling involved and the prevention of production losses.
  • requirements:

  • high school diploma or equivalent. one year to two years’ experience preferred.
