summary
i am looking for a pa to join my small team & me. i am an easy-going, good-humoured 61 year old man with a background in the arts who likes to chat about literature & life in general. i have ms and need someone (male or female) with the skills to be able to independently move & hoist me when needed, provide personal care, prepare simple meals & feed them to me. i have a ground floor flat in central worthing near the town centre & seafront, with loads of free parking.

typical duties
domestic -
laundry, hanging out to dry, ironing, putting away
helping with laundry, washing and drying
loading and unloading the washing machine
loading and unloading tumble dryer/washing line
changing bed linen
bed making
taking out rubbish
general housework, including cleaning, dusting and vacuuming.
preparing drinks, snacks and meals.
support to read emails and documents
personal care:
• washing and bathing/showering – towelling dry/ drying hair
• supervision and/or assistance with showering, drying, hair washing/ brushing as required
• help getting into and out of shower as required
• to be on call when employer takes bath
• general hair/skin care
• catheter care
• dressing and undressing/ helping with buttons and fastenings
• getting into bed
• assistance with getting out of bed using a hoist
• help with dispensing tablets
• assistance with medication i.e. helping to take tablets from foil/packets
• getting in and out of the wheelchair using a hoist
• mealtimes e.g. cutting up food, assistance to eat
• physiotherapy exercises
social:
• support to access the community.
