an excellent opportunity for an experienced field service engineer to join a well-established company based in huntingdon, cambridgeshire.

the company:

based at their offices in cambridgeshire, the established privately owned business is known for its highly customer focused approach and has built its reputation for quality products and excellent after sales care.

the team of engineers deliver a personal yet professional service to their customers, which range from large nhs hospitals to gp practices and small independent veterinary practices.

supported products include ultrasound scanners, mri systems and all associated peripherals.

about the role:

you will be based within a commuting distance from the offices and prepared to travel throughout the british isles. the job will be split between days in the workshop/office and days at customer sites.

customer site visits include:

travelling to customer sites to install / service equipment.
scheduled preventive maintenance service visits.
breakdown visits.
assisting with resolving it issues and software updates.

workshop / office days:

providing telephone assistance to customers.
collaborating with the oem factory technicians and support teams.
booking service visits.
carry out workshop repairs.

candidate requirements:

hnc / hnd or degree in instrumentation electronics or similar (candidates currently studying towards the above qualification will also be considered) previous experience in a similar role with laboratory or medical equipment (this would be an advantage although not essential as full training will be provided). excellent communication skills. work independently and as part of a team.
strong organisational skills, with ability to adapt to a dynamic schedule.
willingness to travel nationally with the occasional night stop.
self-motivated.
fluent in english.
full uk driving licence.
