excellent opportunity for a driver and manual handling operative to join a well-established company based in lichfield, staffordshire.

basic salary: £23,400 per annum, with a £30,000 ote

the company

the company offers a wide range of transportation/delivery/lifting and manual handling solutions nationwide to the mobile telecoms industry, deliveries will be to high rise city centre structures, kerb side and off road 4x4 sites using a variety of plant and vehicles such as lorry loaders (hiabs), 4x4 vehicles and tracked plant.

as this is such a varied role, the successful candidate will be required to be an "all-rounder" to fit in with this small but growing business, the role will include but not limited to:

delivering equipment to its final location on site.
operating hiab's
towing trailers
operating a fork lift
collecting and returning equipment to and from client's stores.
assisting engineers/installers when required.
involve lifting heavy equipment using hauling and manual handling equipment such as stairwalkers, chain hoists and rope and pulley systems along with other lifting equipment (within h&s guidelines).
loading and offloading vehicles, processing new and old equipment in our stores for onward shipment
sorting of waste and recycling and taking to different centres to be processed.
yard duties and general vehicle maintenance

this is a full-time position with a guaranteed 40 hours, you must be able to work on your own initiative as well as working as part of a team, you must be available to work occasional weekends with occasional overnight stop outs.

the hours are varied so you must be flexible, a typical start time is 05:00 with days ranging from 6-12 hours long.

in return the company offers a competitive basic salary of £23,400 per annum with a £30k ote

company phone and ipad supplied, access after probation period to company healthcare policy, and enrolment into company death in service policy.

overtime at £16.87 per hour paid after 10 hours

weekend and overnight bonuses paid

this role would only suit individuals living within a 30-minute journey from lichfield.

due to the nature of this work, the candidate will need to be fit and healthy and have a “can do” attitude.
