Plant controller- al - united states, florence (alabama)

 

adecco's executive search and placement team is partners with one of our favorite customers to help them recruit and hire a skilled plant controller in the central alabama area. 

duties and responsibilities: 

assist in decision making process by assessing purchasing activity outcomes. 

the production of monthly and annual financial reports. 

maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records. 

a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk. 

dynamic in providing and communicating financial analysis and recommendations to upper management for business operations and direction (sales, expenses, product mix, marketing, r&d). 

create new processes that have the operations of the business in top notch shape and streamline the efficiency. 

coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual review engagement. 

maintain cost accounting system 

conduct physical inventories and monitors cycle count program 

assist in month end close of the general ledger 

requirements: 

bachelors degree in accounting 

3+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience; proficient with accounting software and microsoft office. 

ability to use data whenever possible to drive your decisions, use of your strong analytical skills to translate data into action planning. 

ability to be flexible in response to changing priorities and needs. 

ability to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
