responsibilities for the accounts receivable specialist but are not limited to:
processing of payroll as needed.
knowledge of balancing and filing quartiles and annual payroll taxes.
processing, verifying, and posting receipts for services rendered
track payments received
researching and resolving account discrepancies
processing and recording transactions.
maintaining records regarding payments and account statuses.
performing administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts.
monitor incoming emails
deposit checks
generating reports and statements for internal use.
assist the accounting department with data input, data corrections and reports
assist with reception duties
other duties as assigned by supervisor
necessary qualifications for the accounts receivable specialist:
five years or more experience working in an accounting position
some college is required
knowledge of gaap; accounting principles
advanced knowledge of excel
detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
proficient in ms word and outlook
proficient with 10-key
must be professional, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
excellent communications skills
customer service oriented
strong analytical skills
willing to learn new complex computer software
able to work independently with minimal supervision
genuine team player
