if so we are looking for a senior support worker to deliver high quality support at our grimsby service. we are looking for a knowledgeable, resourceful and energetic senior support worker who will work alongside the support coordinator, helping to achieve our aims.

you must be enthusiastic about the provision of services for individuals and have a good insight into current thinking and practice in the field. you will join our dedicated floating support team in providing assistance to individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, people who are at risk of offending and individuals with mental health conditions.

our grimsby service encourages individuals to get support in a group settling, as well as identify their own goals and priorities. we enable and empower tenants to find sustainable, long-term accommodation in the local community.

the focus of this work is to support people to develop the necessary skills to maximise their independence in the community and lead a more fulfilling life, by providing additional help such as learning life skills such as cooking or budgeting and providing emotional support and befriending.

you must have skills in positive communication and engagement and will be able to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the people we support. you will also have skills in the assessment of needs along with positive and proactive risk management so that support planning for individuals demonstrates an active and fulfilling life with an emphasis on a can do approach.

senior support worker duties:

supervising, managing and mentoring a team of staff ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to developing and sustaining warm and trusting relationships with service users providing outcome-focused support to enable service users to lead fulfilling and valued lives, maintain their tenancies, participate in their local community, develop independent living skills and achieve their personal goals and desired outcomes experience providing support/other services to vulnerable adults is essential.

we provide full ongoing training in all aspects of the job. our training is provided by the creative academy who recently received the investors in people gold award for the wonderful work that they do.

due to wider travel across the grimsby and cleethorpes areas for our floating support service a clean, valid driving license with access to a car is essential for this support worker role.
