Engineering director - united kingdom, redhill, surrey
outstanding opportunity for an engineering director to join this expanding company at a very exciting time. you will need to have worked in an engineering environment and experience of electronics would be a distinct advantage. experience of taking a concept to reality would also be a real positive. £60k + bonus + car allowance + pension.
some travel between sites will be required as well as some international travel to support key clients
responsibilities and duties:
managing continuous improvement. achieving and exceeding set kpi and objective targets.
managing the teams on a day-to-day basis.
people management and development.
experience and knowledge of the following key areas:
- stock management.
- procurement.
- production planning.
- erp / mrp / crm systems.
- lean / six sigma principles.
- calibration.
- health and safety management.
- r&d. experience of development and launching new products to market and managing upgrades to existing products.
- mechanical design.
- solidworks / cad.
- change control.
- electrical design.
- electronics (pcb).
- bom structures.
- analyser scientific principles of measurement.
- managing compliance to external standards and representation in audits with external companies.
- service and in the field commissioning, installation and fault finding.
- internal and external training.
managing relationships upwards and experience of senior leadership.
ability to organise teams and lead on both micro and macro task management.
strong process led approach with the ability to measure performance both objectively and subjectively.
